CRPD Fees: What are they and why do I have to pay them?

Conejo Recreation Park District (CRPD) administers and maintains all of the city’s fields and parks for the City of Thousand Oaks. This includes our CVLL baseball fields at Fiore, Waverly, and Dover.

For 48 years, CVLL enjoyed permitted use of the baseball fields free of charge, as CRPD absorbed the costs of maintenance and utilities within their tax payer supported budget. In 2012, CRPD began charging CVLL for permitted use of the baseball fields in order to cover the ever increasing costs in maintenance and utilities. As CVLL operates as a Not-For-Profit entity, we receive a discounted rate from CRPD, and CRPD absorbs the balance. Despite the discounted rate, field use fees have become a significant part of CVLL’s operating costs.

For the 2015 Spring Season, there will be no increase in your registration Fair Share Donation, however, the CRPD Field Use Fee will be increasing from $25.00 to $45.00 per player.  As a reminder, CVLL’s status as a Not-For-Profit organization may allow you to deduct your child’s registration Fair Share Donation as a charitable donation.  We appreciate your understanding of this situation and sincerely wish we did not have to pass this cost along to you.

If you have any questions in regards to the Field Use Fees, please contact any CVLL board member, CRPD board member (list found HERE),  or CRPD directly at (805) 495-6471.

2015 Spring Registration is CLOSED!

Please reach out to the Registrar if you have any questions.
